The Role
You are a Systems Engineer acting within the Air Vehicle group focused on Mechanical Systems. You will have the opportunity to interact with Landing Gear, Cabin, Closures, Environmental Control, Airframe and Wiring Systems, and be the Systems Engineer of one of these. You will bridge the gap between aircraft-level requirements and detailed component design, and interfaces. You have the confidence and willingness to interact with multiple disciplines across the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to develop high-reliability, safety-critical systems for aircraft design
- Champion compilation of reports to defend System readiness for milestone reviews.
- Act as the focal point for system-level documentation and reports.
- Lead change management efforts in a complex product structure.
- Lead efforts to:
- Conduct operational and functional analysis,
- Define and decompose system requirements with traceability through overall system architecture
- Define and manage technical/programmatic performance measures (i.e. cost, weight, performance objectives)
- Enable full system safety compliance to the appropriate regulations
- Work with various technical disciplines to develop verification plans, support verification/test planning, and conduct to demonstrate compliance with system requirements
What you need:
- 6+ years of engineering experience on aerospace projects with significant software and complex hardware
- BS, MS, or PhD in systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable degree
- Proven expertise in SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761 processes or similar standards
- Experience with Polarion or other requirements management tools
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and engineering judgment
- Excellent writing skills

- Experience with system safety (FMEA, FTA, HSA, FHA, STPA)
- Model Based Engineering experience
- Test experience
- Operations experience
- Mechanical design experience
- Specialty engineering experience

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s strategy. For this position, we are targeting a base pay range of $182,500 - $250,900. Actual compensation offered will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
