Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p> <p>The Logistics Sr. Project Manager for Trade Systems is a key function within the Program Management, Systems Team within the Logistics group at Rivian.&nbsp; Responsibilities will include requirement identification, development, maintenance and enhancements for all Trade Compliance Systems in use and planned for future use at Rivian.&nbsp; In addition to being a recognized subject matter expert on trade compliance requirements and these various systems and how they interact with other internal systems and external systems (e.g., brokers), this role will be responsible for scoping out enhancements by working with stakeholders to determine new requirements and facilitating the communication and coordination of the changes with technical system developers.&nbsp;</p> <p>The ideal candidate can understand and communicate complex requirements to a variety of audiences (including senior leadership), manage competing project priorities through effective communication and documentation, and work effectively with technical resources. A collaborative working style will benefit this position greatly, as well as a drive to continuously improve systems and processes to be more efficient and effective for their stakeholders.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define system functionality requirements for all trade system implementations as a lead trade regulatory subject matter expert</li> <li>Collaborate with trade team members to deliver systematized trade compliance solutions that maximize global import/export compliance and efficiency</li> <li>Support Global Trade Compliance Director in identification and selection of trade system solutions. Lead requirements gathering, and RFQ in conjunction with logistics purchasing</li> <li>Manage project plan, trade compliance systems development, coordinate requirements and testing with internal and external parties (brokers, carriers etc.)</li> <li>Direct end-to-end systems (SIT, UAT, Go-Live) testing and develop detailed test plans covering all scenarios to ensure implementations are correct the first time through</li> <li>Document and maintain system business requirements, decision points, issues and corrective actions when failures occur</li> <li>Identify and lead requirements gathering for all system enhancements (configuration and integration)</li> <li>Generate and promote new automation opportunities and leverage technologies to drive compliance with global trade regulations</li> <li>Lead trade department systems ad-hoc reporting and support continuous improvement analytics</li> <li>Clearly identify, prioritize and support trade analytics; audit, metrics and KPI’s with logistics analytics lead</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Project portfolio details</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead business requirement gathering, roadmap, design, development, SIT and UAT for all trade systems initiatives</li> <li>Trade Compliance system super user and trade systems subject matter expert</li> <li>Partner with Global Trade Compliance, Logistics Operations, and various business areas to recommend and implement enhancements to ensure compliance and simplify processes for users.</li> <li>Lead project implementations, weekly meetings and effectively communicate status, dependencies and risks as trade systems are strategically important to the success of the Trade team and compliance with regulatory compliance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years relevant experience in a complex import/export environment, 5+ years’ experience preferred.</li> <li>Automotive experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>BA / BS degree required – preferably in Business, International Trade or Information Technology/Business Information Systems.</li> <li>Prior experience implementing trade compliance system solutions required.</li> <li>Working knowledge of import trade regulations, classification, valuation, country of origin, trade preference programs, supply chain security and Partner Government Agencies.</li> <li>Import and export experience required, FTZ and bonded warehouse experience preferred.</li> <li>Familiarity with maintaining trade master data in enterprise resourcing planning (ERP) systems and related databases.</li> <li>Experience with JIRA, Confluence and/or other project management and documentation tools</li> <li>Experience using <em>Integration Point</em> preferred</li> <li>Understanding of trade compliance regulations outside the US is preferred.</li> <li>U.S. Customs Broker License or CCS/CES preferred.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h4>Equal Opportunity</h4> <p>Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
