The role of a Senior Logistics Project Manager is to identify, Initiate and implement logistics improvement projects that have large scale positive impacts for operational and financial performance.

You Will:

  • Manage team of Engineers, systems specialist and Kaizen team to support and drive company initiatives.
  • Responsible the development of and execution new launch and existing process upgrade activities.
  • Configure, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy Logistics tools and solutions to ensure seamless, effective implementation and training
  • Develop training documentation, calculations, and standard formulas to implement lean manufacturing practices.
  • Leverage common project management tools to provide weekly updates to various levels of the organization, identify and escalate critical issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Schedule and lead regular project team meeting to track progress for KPIs.
  • Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers.
  • Conduct workshops to drive Key Design Decisions with clear recommendations based on leading best-practice knowledge, weighed against business capacity
  • Act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, production, quality, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
  • Assist in developing Operational Data Sheets / Work Instructions to support Operations. 
  • Apply advanced problem-solving techniques and lean principles to develop and optimize the manufacturing system to maximize throughput, increase efficiency and value.
  • Provide technical recommendations on bid summaries to select suppliers for Facilities & Equipment purchases.
  • Develop schedules for Facilities and Equipment staff to ensure successful launch activities.
  • Provide budget feedback, setting and managing to for previously mentioned equipment and installations. 
  • Continue to learn and develop technical SAP and business expertise
  • Optimize employee engagement in all lean programs
  • Assist in eliminating roadblocks to Continuous Improvement
  • You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical – Mechanical, Industrial and Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of program management experience in technical program management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.
  • Automotive Tier1/OEM or parallel industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Smartsheets, JMP, Minitab, JIRA and Tableau is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to show teamwork to be part of the solution.
  • Exceptional technical writing, timely communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain data and presentation of project plans for department. 
  • Prioritize projects and work based on customer, department, and company needs.
