Our rapidly growing pricing team of mission-driven, climate enthusiasts is passionate, innovative, and committed to a better future for the planet. We are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to assist with pricing function, supporting insight generation, process development, and execution of pricing strategies and other commercial strategy efforts, all designed to optimize total value throughout the customer lifecycle (acquisition, retention, upsell/cross-sell, renewal, etc.) across all products / services.

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate pricing to customers at acquisition and throughout their lifecycle. The role will focus on constant improvement of our pricing service through A/B testing of our offerings, and market strategy to maximize customer LTV and provide guidance to our operations and sales teams. The role combines financial modeling, data analytics, data science, and commercial strategy. As a Senior Analyst, you will work directly with the Director of Pricing and cross-functional teams to build out and continuously refine the operating model and its inputs/outputs.

 

How you’ll help: 

 

  • Market Management Insights: Leverage nuanced understanding of competitive landscape, customer LTVs and operational requirements to support acquisition resources between and within markets to optimize total originated value
  • Pricing Strategy Support and Execution:  Support design, execution, and analysis of market, channel, product specific pricing regimes and their contribution to book performance
  • Financial Model Development: Develop new operating model features designed to improve the accuracy, flexibility, or speed of our forecasts. Generate P&L forecasts for price changes, pricing experiments and shifting market dynamics
  • Algorithm Enhancement:  Continual research and enhancements of approach to pricing through evolving the algorithm or introducing new data to support more intelligent targeting and segmentation
  • Process Development and Management:  Document and/or develop process for pricing function to actively support all insight and strategy development and implementation validation in a scalable way, and automation when possible.

 

Some Year 1 Deliverables:

  • Process documentation for pricing models and offer management process
  • Build out enhancements to the current beta models (New Markets/Structures/Channels, Sensitivity Analyses, Scenario Planning, etc.)
  • Work with the Structuring team to build new beta models (Natural Gas, new markets, new channels)
  • Build out internal reporting upstream of analytics to help us validate and understand model outputs
  • Contribute meaningfully to commercial and operational strategy discussion informed by modeled analyses
  • Successful execution of strategies that will help deliver portfolio revenue targets

 

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

Non-negotiables:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of overall work experience, with 2 years pricing experience
  • 2+ years of Financial/Operational Forecasting and Modeling experience
  • Advanced application of Excel and SQL in a professional work environment including data transformations, calculations and time series analysis
  • 2+ years of data analytics experience, preferably at a high growth organization
  • 2+ years experience building new forecast models from scratch and contributing to existing models 
  • Exceptional prioritization, communication, and project management skills

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI
  • Experience with advanced statistics, regression forecasting, and/or conditional probability
  • Clean Energy experience a plus
