We are currently seeking a Sr. Operations Officer for Vehicle Engineering. This position requires an experienced professional with a responsibility for improving the capability of the team through significantly improved engineering design tools, data management, processes, facilities, training and talent management. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

•Oversee annual business targets cascade.

•Collate annual budget submissions and drive completion.

•First point of contact for Finance during business planning.

•Create and maintain weekly Vehicle Engineering dashboard.

•Maintain Look Ahead horizon scan.

•Maintain master people management sheet.

•First point of contact for HR team for database queries.

•Maintain list of facilities requests and create business cases.

•Identify facilities gaps for team.

•Confirm utilization and correct upkeep of facilities.

•First point of contact for Facilities team for ongoing requests.

•Manage office moves (including seating allocation).

•Create ideas for tools and process improvements with PLM, author tracking list and maintain.

•Project manage introduction of new tools and processes.

•Minute brainstorm sessions with PLM team.

•Create and populate concise skills and training matrix.

•Create EQ training list and push through team.

•Publish leadership expectations per grade level (from VP).

•Collaborate on succession plan with VP and HR.

•Collaborate on talent map with VP and HR.

•Collaborate with VP to write-up strategy for a high-performing engineering team.

•Create initiatives roll-out plan and work to implement.

Qualifications:

•Proven experience (10+ years) in automotive engineering.

•Strong knowledge of cross-functional development of vehicle programs.

•Highly approachable, good presentation skills, and impeccable English language ability.

•Excellent project management and team leadership skills.

•A track record of successful product launches and project management.

Education Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Bay Area Range - $154,000 - 220,000
