The Sr. Manager, Service Program Management will have an immediate impact on our productivity by streamlining our strategic initiatives, program managing with precision, and communicating our objectives and performance across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving standards for program management governance and providing board level updates on behalf of our executives. You will lead a team of program managers as the organization grows to drive new market entry, strategic partnerships, international expansion, and overall business portfolio growth.  To be successful this role must be able to build relationships in and outside of the core Service Organization and influence decision-making across the company with a focus on customer experience. This role will also focus on making time, information, and decision processes more effective through stellar program management, including how information arrives at the right point in the decision-making process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a high-performing program management team and process over the next 6-12 months, focusing on strategic B2B partnerships, strategic commercial partnerships, and new market entry
  • Ensure successful operationalization of key service initiatives such as international go-to-market and service launch for major commercial customers
  • Support clear communication with executive level leaders on critical business decisions, program management, and strategic initiative implementation timing
  • Act in a customer facing capacity for key service engagements to drive strategic vision and coordination for service organization
  • Collaborate with Corporate strategy and functional teams to design and contract key service deals, including with major commercial customers
  • Drive performance and decision-making cross-functionally to bolster partnerships in and across organizations to ensure long-term success
  • Development and execution of monthly business updates, program status updates, executive level reporting, and overall communication on Service performance across the business units
  • Ensure critical meeting preparation across the leadership team, and follow up actions are documented and tracked to ensure effective productivity
  • Develop robust and standard project tracking that will support clear status on cost, timing, and resourcing across the organization
  • Act as key point of contact between Service Leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners for strategic programs

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Automotive, Tier 1, OEM, or technical field
  • 3-5+ years of leading, developing, and scaling teams within a fast-paced technology/automotive (Portfolio Management experience preferred)
  • Bachelors (Masters Preferred) with emphasis in Operations, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • Must be able to deliver internal and external updates with exceptional business acumen and conciseness (executive level communication experience required)
  • Broad experience defining, launching, and driving strategic process redesign initiatives to improve internal and external operations, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a technology environment
  • Experience building and implementing best practiced Program Management Tools and methodologies with experience in multiple ERPs
  • Experience in go-to-market strategy execution (domestic/international) - automotive or service experience preferred
  • Experience in product lifecycle management, supply chain operations and logistics
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities to allow decision-making or presenting recommendations to the business
  • Understanding of trade-offs between total cost of ownership and customer experience for building and executing service strategy
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in an ambiguous environment with a focus on prioritization

 

 

Salary Range for Colorado Based Applicants: $166,000 - $191,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

 

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
