The Role:  

As the Senior Manager of Human Resources for our 24x7 food manufacturing facility, you will lead the HR function and play a critical role in shaping the people strategy to support the organization's goals. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, workforce planning, engagement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the overall business objectives of the food manufacturing facility.
    • Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational culture, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.
    • Provide strategic guidance and counsel to department heads and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
    • Oversee the recruitment and selection, ensuring the timely filling of vacancies with qualified candidates.
    • Develop workforce plans and staffing strategies to meet production demands while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs, develop job descriptions, and implement effective recruitment strategies.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
    • Implement proactive employee relations strategies to prevent conflicts and promote positive workplace interactions.
    • Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and implement action plans to address concerns and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Performance Management and Development:
    • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management best practices and effective performance feedback techniques.
    • Identify training and development needs, design training programs, and facilitate learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employment, safety, and labor practices.
    • Collaborate on and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
    • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant HR certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Ability to be onsite five days a week with flexible hours to support night and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, labor relations avoidance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24x7 production environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.

Compensation:  
The base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $150,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
