As the Sr. Manager, Employee Communications and Experiences, you will be a passionate champion of our mission, Compass Values, culture and ensure our communication strategies are meaningful and support employees. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead change communications planning and deployment across a variety of functions including Commercial, DEI, Brand and Talent Marketing
  • Socialize and align plans with functional leadership and other stakeholders, including Legal, People, Safety and Facilities teams 
  • Manage the strategy, creative development and operational maintenance of communication channels and programming to support customer-facing employees 
  • Draft content for senior executives for town halls, videos, new program announcements and operational updates to strategically drive engagement and visibility while sharing company goals, objectives, activities and critical initiatives
  • Engage your storytelling skills to thread the employee story to the broader Rivian narrative by producing compelling content and cultivating a connected employee environment
  • Alongside the Employee Communications and Experience team, develop, define and implement communication standards so the story we tell is consistent across the company
  • Partner closely with Corporate Communications to ensure integration with external communications
  • Implement tracking and reporting to measure progress against organizational objectives

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • in employee or internal communications
  • Skills to distill complex information into resonant, easy-to-understand content
  • Experience with driving internal and employee-focused communications at a growing organization (experience at multi-site and multi-national companies is a plus)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills: you are known for crossing T’s and dotting I’s
  • You’ve told stories through a variety of mediums: whether they’re in-person events, virtual settings, or in writing
  • Ability to consider the bigger picture and possess the willingness to get into the specifics when needed
  • Can overcome nerves to navigate crisis and challenging situations
  • Super organized: you have checklists for your checklists and can think 10 steps ahead
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, MS Word essential; experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and web publishing preferred
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality is a must

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $168,000 - $193,000/yr (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
