  • Troubleshoot structured cabling systems.
  • Create and maintain lab organization and cleanliness
  • Able to do marking & labeling of cable harnesses; label software and label printer, ink marker 
  • Installation and use of data acquisition equipment and other instrumentation.
  • Work with various cable that include but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, 3/0 and 4/0 ought cables, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, Category 5, Category 6.
  • Order and maintain inventory stock supplies
  • Must have hands on experience with 208VAC and 24VDC electrical panels and assemblies
  • Must know how to build and weld thermocouples
  • Must be able to solder and crimp both large and small components
  • Ability to use basic shop tools required (drill press, band saw, etc…)
  • Hands-on experience building/wiring up various hardware in an engineering development environment
  • Strong experience with reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and harness drawings
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs and HV power supplies.
  • Experience building electrical panels and/or automated fixtures


  • Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Self-motivation and maturity to set the tone in a lab environment around organization, cleanliness, safety, quality of work
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests with a constant focus on deadlines
  • Familiarity with the use of all applicable Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, electrical schematics, and procedure manuals; have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and write routine reports and correspondence
  • Requires punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Employee must work independently and effectively, with little supervision, to prioritize and complete assigned objectives and handle multiple projects or assignments simultaneously
  • Experience with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
