We are currently seeking a talented Sr. Engineer for Lucid Smart Energy Products and the Smart Energy Program. This position requires an experienced professional with a proven track record of excellence forming partnerships and relationships with companies, organizations, government bodies and standardization institutions. The candidate demonstrates strong organizational capability and the ability to command respect from the talented cross functional teams. The ideal candidate will communicate proactively, so each individual team member remains aware of the current achievements, and that critical issues are identified and brought to the attention of senior management in a timely manner.

The Role:

  • Identify possible partners among industry stakeholders and agencies
  • Establish and form partnerships
  • Oversee and identify public funding opportunities on state and federal level
  • Form partnerships, apply-for and secure opportunities
  • Work and interface with legal and policy team to shape visibility
  • Shape Lucid as a driver towards future regulation
  • Promote Lucid prove-of-concept showcases among standardization and governmental bodies to support their rule-making
  • Understand other stakeholders in the industry and learn their roadmap.
  • Interact with OEMs and EVSE manufactures to align on protocol deployment and preferences.

  • Qualifications:

  • Technical experience in the field of electric vehicle charging
  • Technical experience with smart home energy systems and the electrical grid
  • Preferably [6+] years experience in the relevant field with an emphasis on promoting technology and successfully establishing long-lasting relationships with organizations leading to mutual benefits for all parties involved
  • Understanding of electrical principles
  • Understand governmental intentions, seeing and balancing chances and leverage funding to contribute to a broader integration of electric vehicles into electrical grids
  • Strong ability of abstraction and combining a system-wide approach with product-centric specifications

  • Education:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline (electrical engineering, microelectronics, computer science, physics, or similar).
