Seeking a Sr. Engineer, Business & Cost Control with an expertise in Construction Job Costing and Controls. Previous experience working within the Construction Industry is Mandatory.
 
The candidate will collaborate closely with all members of the project team and will support the Project Management Team in cost controlling and change management during the project life cycle. In this role the candidate will manage a portfolio of large construction projects and function as the Cost Controller to provide insights into project costs and help identify project costing issues.

Duties

  • Develop and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) 
  • Develop and maintain project budgets estimate and cost control reports using appropriate software.
  • Monitor cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with project team to ensure accuracy in project cost phasing and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow, forecasts, accruals, and variance analysis reports for key stakeholders.
  • Establishes and sustains an Earned Value Management.
  • Provide copies of project cost performance reports (CPI & SPI) in accordance with project reporting requirements
  • Review and analyze cost impacts associated with variation, contract claims, incentives, and penalties.
  • Help project team to meet budgeting goals.
  • Develop and maintain assets register and assets coding.
  • Review and approve monthly subcontractors and supplier payments.
  • Tracking approved and pending change orders against the approved project budget.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelors in finance or construction Management, + 12 years of experience
  • Proven experience in cost controlling and tracking related to capital construction projects,
  • Proven record of successful financial control and modeling for capital projects
  • Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong knowledge in MS Excel and other MS Office program.
