Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior BIM & Layout Engineer to join our facilities team at AMP2. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts, coordinating layout designs, and ensuring seamless integration of facility systems across projects. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence and supporting long-term infrastructure planning.
Senior BIM and Layout Engineer
Pre-Operational Phase (During Construction)
Act as the primary liaison for all BIM and layout-related issues during AMP2 construction.
Senior BIM and Layout Engineer
Review and validate contractor BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with facility requirements.
Lead clash detection efforts and coordinate resolution with design and construction teams.
Oversee laser scanning activities to verify as-built conditions and update models accordingly.
Ensure all layout designs support long-term facility operations and maintenance needs.
Maintain a centralized BIM repository and ensure version control across stakeholders.
Handover Phase (Lucid Construction → Lucid Facilities)
Coordinate and validate the final BIM deliverables from Lucid Construction for handover to Lucid Facilities.
Ensure all as-built models are updated with verified laser scan data and reflect actual site conditions.
Review and reconcile any outstanding layout or clash issues prior to operational transition.
Support the integration of BIM data into facility management systems (e.g., CMMS, digital twin platforms).
Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with Lucid Facilities teams to ensure full understanding of spatial data and model usage.
Document and archive all BIM-related handover materials, including drawings, scans, and metadata.
Post-Construction / Operational Phase
Serve as the go-to expert for layout modifications, facility expansions, and system upgrades.
Continuously update the facility’s digital twin using laser scans and field data.
Support maintenance and integration teams with accurate spatial data and updated models.
Coordinate with asset management systems to link BIM data with operational workflows.
Provide technical support for layout-related troubleshooting and planning.
Train internal teams on BIM tools and workflows to ensure sustainable model usage.
