As a certified B Corp, our mission is truly woven into the fabric of what we do. As you grow professionally, you are doing good for the planet by helping us to transform the way consumers access clean energy and accelerate the world’s transition to a net-zero carbon future.

Our rapidly growing sales team of mission-driven, climate enthusiasts is passionate, innovative and committed to a better future for the planet. We are looking for a TITLE to help us leverage their deep knowledge and understanding of data to support the creation and communication of unified Sales & Member Experience (MX) KPIs, assist in developing forecasts that inform demand planning, and proactively identify areas of opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue via data mining. This person will work with a range of cross-functional partners in Sales, MX, Finance, Analytics, and Platform to enable strategic decision making to drive revenue growth.

The candidate should be passionate about leveraging their technical skills (querying, data wrangling, descriptive analytics, and visualizations) to deliver an output that is actionable for stakeholders in a results-oriented work environment. Additionally, the candidate should be able to communicate complex topics to a wide array of audiences in a digestible manner. Above all, the work done here will impact the way the world experiences clean and renewable energy.

How you’ll help:

  • Standardize & Own SMX KPIs: Produce, own, and maintain a single source of truth for Sales & MX KPIs. Responsible for the weekly assembly and delivery of sales performance insights: dashboards, demand forecasting, funnel analysis, customer segmentation, territory management etc.
  • Build Reporting Visualizations & Automation: Build & automate key reports and dashboards via SQL & Tableau and communicate the results to departmental leaders.
  • Budget Optimization: Research and evaluate opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction via sales budgets (customer acquisition and G&A).
  • SMX Demand Planning: Assist Manager in creation of forecasts to improve demand planning for Sales (customer acquisition) & MX (volume & staffing) via more advanced applied modeling (time series, regression, decision tree etc.).
  • Market Trends & Ad-hoc Support: Identify business trends and shifts, and recommend data-driven strategies and recommendations to the SMX Leadership. Also, provide support for ad hoc reporting, analysis and troubleshooting within SMX.

Some Year 1 Deliverables:

  • Manage the creation of tactical SMX dashboards (Executive SMX KPI dashboard)  and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders to drive revenue growth.
  • Partner with Finance, Analytics, and Platform to ensure a single source of truth among SMX KPIs in order to avoid dissemination of faulty data and reduce operational debt.
  • Deliver a scalable and automated solution to manage customer acquisition forecasts at an enterprise level and communicate findings to the Finance and Platform team.
  • Create a daily Cost per Acquisition report to provide intraday directional feedback to channel managers on their cost and leeway for additional spend throughout a given month.
  • Work with the SMX Planning, Performance & Analytics Manager to create a cadence for regular KPI and performance reviews with concise and actionable insights.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • 1-3 years experience in a Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related role.
  • Project related experience in SQL, Tableau (or other BI tool), and Excel/Google Sheets. Able to extract and transform complex datasets into more easily consumable formats and create relied-upon dynamic and self-serve dashboards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
