Your role and your team:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer to join our team in the exciting world of aerospace and eVTOL. As a Systems Engineer with a focus on battery and energy management system and software, you will be responsible for designing and integrating systems that power our state-of-the-art eVTOL aircraft, using both Model-Based Software development methods and traditional software practices for safety-critical domain.

Your Day to Day: 

  • Design and develop safety-critical battery management system (BMS) and work on certifiable software aspects
  • Participate in functional development, requirement capturing, validation and implementation of the whole BMS of eVTOL aircraft
  • Ensure seamless integration with other aircraft systems
  • Design, implement and verify cutting-edge algorithms for run-time BMS software to derive State-of-Charge and State-of-Health
  • Combine Model-Based and traditional software development methods
  • Optimize system performance for speed, functionality, and power consumption, while adhering to strict safety standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in aerospace technology and make recommendations for process improvements and new development initiatives, with a focus on MBD best practices 

 Your Profile:   

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of industry experience with state-of-the-art Li-ion BMS
  • Strong expertise in embedded C, Matlab/Simulink. MBSE/UML is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of DO-178C/DO-311 and system certification process is highly desirable. Alternatively ISO26262.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations, including those set forth by EASA and FAA
  • Knowledge of testing and verification practices for complex systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
