Your role and your team:
In this position, you will be reporting to the Head of Software Engineering and work in our "Energy" integrated team. You will contribute to the development of battery and energy management system and software.
You can help to build smart and effective engineering process to deliver safety-critical systems, compliant with strictest certification requirements.
We are looking for someone with great ideas and ability to implement them.
Your Day to Day:
- Develop safety-critical battery management system (BMS) and work on certifiable software aspects
- Participate in functional development, validation and implementation of the whole BMS of eVTOL aircraft
- Cell and battery modelling, cell characterizations and test
- Design, implement and verify cutting-edge algorithms for run-time BMS software to derive State-of-Charge and State-of-Health
- Combine Model-Based and traditional software development methods
- Develop Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop test benches
- Co-operate with hardware and QA teams
Your Profile:
- MSc, PhD or equivalent degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, physics or a related field required
- 5+ years of industry experience with state-of-the-art Li-ion BMS
- Strong expertise in embedded C, Matlab/Simulink. MBSE/UML is a plus.
- Working knowledge of DO-178C/DO-311 and system certification process is highly desirable.
- Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills required
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
