- This candidate will work as a system level signal and power integrity design engineer developing and validating design rules for automotive electronic control units.
- Establish criteria and methodologies for signal integrity analyses for Rivian and vendor designed electrical devices and components.
- Support the entire lifecycle of the product from early targets and analyses at the component level to validation at the full system level.
- Work closely with multiple teams to conduct signal and power integrity analyses (pre and post layout)
- Work closely with external contract vendors and manufacturers
- Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ experience designing electrical systems for high volume products or relative work expereince
- Focused expertise in the area of signal integrity analysis and familiarity with tools and modeling techniques in this area
- In depth experience using tools such as Keysight ADS, Synopsys HSPICE, and Ansys HFSS
- Solid understanding of IBIS models, S-parameter extraction and simulations
- Prior experience assessing board stack ups and layout with a signal and power integrity mindset
- Strong foundational understanding of high speed digital analog design, RF, and power distribution related to electrical system development
- Good understanding of interface protocols such as PCIe, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, SATA, A2B, WiFi, Bluetooth, GMSL, FPD, and LPDDR5
- Familiarity with audio and display technologies
- Strong hands-on debugging capabilities using VNA, high speed scopes, and spectrum analyzers
- Strong grasp of design methodologies and their impact on manufacturing and test
