About This Role

At Apeel Sciences, we look to nature to help the global food system improve quality, reduce waste, and ensure an abundant future for our planet. The Marketing team is responsible for establishing the Apeel brand on a global and regional level. We are seeking a Shopper Marketing Manager who will collaborate with internal and external partners to activate compelling shopper marketing programs that drive brand preference, selection and equity, as well as position Apeel as a sustainable food system leader in the market. 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development and execution of shopper marketing programs in the US and Europe built upon category and consumer insights, the Apeel global brand strategy, and customer objectives for key retail accounts. 
  • Manage brand integration at retail: orchestrate joint planning to develop account-specific programs, ensure successful program execution, monitor and report KPIs, and build and nurture relationships with retailer buyer and marketing teams.
  • Strong project management skills to check in with internal and external stakeholders, communicate deadlines effectively and manage multiple projects and work streams 
  • Manage brand integration with suppliers: coordinate the incorporation of the Apeel brand on packaging designs and work alongside the sales team to communicate the added value of the Apeel brand to our supplier community. 
  • Bring your market insights and retailer experience to create new opportunities for the brand as you work alongside your Product, Sales, Strategy & Marketing team counterparts at Apeel 
  • Tap into grocer knowledge to recommend successful strategies and channels to reach their specific-shopper audiences to drive full funnel 360 activations to achieve awareness, consideration, purchase & advocacy of Apeel. 
  • Partner with brand marketing, shopper marketing, creative and agency partners to ensure the successful campaign roll out.
  • Manage program production lead times in conjunction with product, sales, strategy, across internal marketing disciplines and with external print and media vendors.
  • Relationship oversight would include, but not limited to, instore and media agency partners on creative deliverables and media plans, instore compliance auditors and installers and print or production vendors to bring to life shopper marketing toolkits. 

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of marketing experience in a large-scale global organization and in dedicated shopper/trade/customer marketing roles, with CPG experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with grocery channel retailers and/or growers/suppliers to roll out integrated and innovative marketing campaigns is a plus.
  • Strategic, metrics-driven mindset with an understanding of how to bridge consumer & category insights with creativity to drive reputation and sales. You have a passion for both the art and science of marketing.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively within organizations, including with sales, strategy/analytics, and across marketing disciplines.
  • History of successfully shipping projects with independence, confidence, and ownership for deadlines and outcomes.
