Service & Accessories Material Planner

Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.&nbsp;</p></div><div> <p><strong><u>Role Summary</u></strong></p> <p>In this position you will be able to support Service and Accessories Material planning to drive on-time material deliveries to service centers and other customer sites located onsite from our Normal manufacturing plant. This role requires flexibility to support strong cross-functional collaboration, customer relationship management to communicate effectively, and an analytical approach to ensure part availability to incoming service backorders, coordinate outbound logistics quick turn analysis on exceptions. This candidate will understand the Rivian supply chain, our production processes, our warehouse operations, and our world-class Service Network.</p> <p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></p> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Drive E2E backorder fulfillment from the plant to all service centers, collision centers and remanufacturing locations.</li> <li>Evaluate and analyze incoming backorders from service to validate correct materials are being ordered</li> <li>Coordinate and request cycle counts for plant when applicable</li> <li>Act as the single point of contact between production and service material planning to analyze and advise on material availability balancing the needs of production and service needs</li> <li>Work heavily with cross functional teams in multi-system platforms to resolve constraints/part discrepancies</li> <li>Coordinate with the plant schedulers to ensure service allocation and shipment of materials to subcontractors on ‘make’ finished goods</li> <li>Improve and manage dashboards to help Commercial Operations manage the KPIs related to backorders</li> <li>Collaborate with material handling and logistics to drive efficient outbound from the plant to several customer sites</li> <li>Escalate material availability with leadership on constrained parts from suppliers to drive the right customer experience and fulfilment</li> <li>Participate in daily meetings and provide backorder fulfilment status to service leadership</li> <li>Manage incoming reworks and provide clear status of rate and flow of finished items closely coordinating with plant quality and service planning</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in Material Planning, supply chain management or manufacturing production planning (Service/Aftermarket a plus)</li> <li>BA or Masters in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations or applicable discipline</li> <li>Experience or strong knowledge in ERP/MRP with focused experience on product lifecycle management, EDI communications, bills of material, supply chain operations, and procure to pay processes (SAP experience preferred)</li> <li>Strong collaborator, with a positive attitude to drive change and provide excellent customer service</li> <li>Strong analytical skills – high proficiency in Excel (advanced a plus)</li> </ul> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><h4>Equal Opportunity</h4> <p>Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
