The Role:

  • Define the system architecture and requirements for energy management products
  • Convert non-technical product requirements to technical specifications
  • Work cross-functionally (product, hardware, software, mechanical) to make the right technological decisions
  • Collect, document, and manage system requirements to bring alignment among teams
  • Work with suppliers to discover, evaluate, and deliver solutions
  • Contribute to prototyping, debugging, and delivery of new products

  • Qualifications:

  • Solid background in embedded systems design and power electronics
  • Strong experience in system design for safety (functional safety, FMEA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of residential energy products and utility standards
  • Knowledge of various wireless communication protocols
  • Strong hardware and software debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and inter-person skills
  • Good documents management skills

  • Preferred:

  • MS degree with 5-year experience
  • Hand-on experience in electronics design

  • Education:

  • Minimum – BS in the areas of electronic or electrical engineering.
