The Role
As our Systems Engineer, in charge of Controls and Software Integration, you’ll be generating and managing the requirements set for both embedded and cloud service software engineering teams. This will include control systems within our product, status and health gathering and reporting via telematics, remote monitoring and control systems, as well as HMI and cybersecurity control systems. You will evaluate proposed design changes as they relate to requirements compliance and impact. You will work closely with our Integration and Test team to establish DVPs and reports. You will work with our Product team to translate Product and VOC requests into technical requirements for the engineering team to execute toward.

What You'll Do:
Create functional and non-functional requirements for all software featuresOversee the review and release of software requirements through SRR, PDR and CDR activities.Define and document software architecture to support product goalsDefine interface requirements to external equipment where applicableEvaluate designs as they relate to requirement complianceCollaborate with Product teams to ensure coverage of all customer requirements and requestsCollaborate with Integration and test team to document DVPs, ICDs and RCAs as well as participate in TRR for test plan releases.Lead applicable DFMEA and PFMEA activities to evaluate design robustness.
Skills to be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering disciplinePrevious experience in requirements managementWorking knowledge of multiple coding languages with the respect to writing requirements for developers to implement to.Must exhibit curiosity to understand how the product is architected and how it operatesExcellent interpersonal skills, confident to interface and communicate at all levels of the organizationExcellent organizational, meeting, and multi tasking skills as well as exhibits strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentDeep understanding of the product development lifecycleStrong collaboration and influencing skills Strong analytical skills
