Your role and your team: 

Join our innovative team as a Software Verification Engineer, focused on flight controls, and be part of a cutting-edge eVTOL aerospace project. Your role will involve ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems through rigorous model-based design and verification. Collaborating with a team of highly skilled engineers and designers, you'll contribute to creating and maintaining robust software verification plans and procedures using state-of-the-art tools and techniques.

As a key member of our team, you'll bring a strong background in software verification, with a specific focus on model-based design and verification. Your deep understanding of verification methodologies and tools will be crucial in applying them to complex aerospace systems. Effective communication and collaboration skills will enable you to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This role requires a candidate with a strong background in software certification and project management. You'll have the opportunity to coordinate system validation and software verification activities while collaborating with external suppliers and regulatory authorities.

Your Day to Day:

  • Guide the verification strategy for airborne safety-critical embedded software in accordance with applicable aerospace regulations.
  • Generate plans, standards, guidelines, and methods related to software verification.
  • Take ownership of the software verification life cycle data, including test cases, test procedures, and test results.
  • Design and implement a software verification environment to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Engage in cross-functional activities with relevant stakeholders such as systems, safety, security, airworthiness, and quality assurance teams.
  • Prepare and coordinate work with external suppliers as well as internal teams within Lilium.

Your Profile:

  • A B.Sc/M.Sc/M.Eng in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in airborne software verification, with experience in the civil sector considered a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of DO-178C is mandatory, while familiarity with DO-330, DO-331, DO-332, and/or DO-333 supplements is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in MATLAB and Simulink is essential for this role.
  • Experience with Qualified Tools such as Simulink Coverage/Test, Polyspace, RapiTime, and/or VectorCast is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in managing complex technical projects, particularly in flight controls and actuation systems
  • Interest in Cybersecurity is a plus.
  • Target-oriented work style with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential for effective communication and collaboration.
