Your responsibilities

Establish a high-density stem cell proliferation bioprocess

Test, optimize, and define design space for scaling up the proliferation of stem cells

Build a comprehensive data-driven model of the bioprocess

Hands-on operation and maintenance of bench top scale bioreactors

Manage the transfer of technologies to both small-scale production and pilot manufacturing

Record, analyze, interpret and report data to the project team and stakeholders

Mentor junior team members

Additional Requirements

Degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess, or Chemical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)

Minimum two years of relevant work experience, ideally in mammalian cell upstream bioprocess

Hands-on experience with OTR/OUR optimization strategies

Familiar with impeller designs, advanced sensor technologies, process controls, automation, and CFD simulations is desirable

Experience in data-driven experimental design

Working experience with microcarriers is preferred

Outstanding aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving, resourcefulness, and willingness to take over tasks that are outside of your core responsibilities
