Senior Scheduler (m/w/d)

Fluence is looking for a Senior Scheduler to drive project scheduling across our portfolio, ensuring flawless execution from planning to delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Maintain Project Schedules:
Create comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).Integrate the schedules of Balance of Plant (BOP) contractors and other subcontractors into the master schedule.Define project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies based on project requirements.Assess the integrity of scheduling programs and provide recommendations for improvements, asses the quality according DCMA14Perform real-time updates on schedules to support on-the-spot time analysis and continuously refine schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Monitor project Progress:
· Regularly track project activities and monitor progress against the established baseline.· Liaise with contractors to ensure timely provision of data.· Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or risks and proactively work with the project team to mitigate and resolve issues.· Analyze critical path constraints to determine the effects of changes to the schedule and recommend workarounds.
3. Contribute to Project Coordination Activities:
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, identify tasks, and allocate resources.· Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment of project timelines and dependencies.4. Resource Management and Optimization:· Efficiently allocate project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, based on project priorities and constraints.· Identify resource gaps or conflicts and propose solutions to maintain adherence to the project schedule.
5. Risk Management:
· Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address schedule deviations in collaboration with SMEs.· Anticipate potential schedule impacts due to changes in scope, resource availability, or external factors, providing recommendations for mitigating risks.· Provide necessary inputs for extension of time (EOT) claims to mitigate liquidated damage (LD) risk, including As-planned/As-built Analysis and Time Impact Analysis.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate project schedules and all related documentation.· Regularly prepare status reports, progress updates, and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, schedule variances, and critical issues/concerns.
7. Continuous Improvement:
· Identify opportunities for process improvements in project scheduling.· Implement best practices, lessons learned, and industry standards to optimize execution and enhance scheduling efficiency.
8. Portfolio Management:
· Deliver sound portfolio reporting that combines in-flight and upcoming projects.· Act as an integral member of the Business Unit Team, providing resource management and planning management advisory.· Utilize and develop data dashboards for effective portfolio management to support decision-making at the Business Unit level.· Contribute to the establishment of standards, tools, and templates in accordance with regional and global guidelines.Required skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Work Ethic: Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple complex tasks/projects.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1 minimum); proficiency in German (C1 minimum) is required for one of the positions.Coaching Experience: Experience in coaching teams and non-specialists in scheduling to drive change is valued.Risk Analysis: Experience in performing Schedule Risk Analysis is a plus.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle Unifier is valued.Certifications: Scheduling Professional Certificates (e.g., PMI-SP or similar) are valued.
