Senior Safety Assurance Manager

ICON is looking for a Senior Safety Assurance Manager  to own the safety function at ICON. As the Senior Safety Assurance Manager at ICON, you will be responsible for implementing and improving our safety procedures at our ICON facilities and ICON construction sites.. This role is based in ICON’s Austin, TX and will sit on ICON’s Facilities team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, plans, and procedures.
• Design safe workspaces and create policies for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards.
• Review existing ICON standards and improve according to current trends & needs.
• Perform risk assessment on production lines and equipment according to manufacturing safety standards.
• Follow technological improvements and provide counseling on machinery safety.
• Manage change requests on safety systems and devices for existing equipment.
• Provide field safety oversight of field printing operations.
• Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal health and safety regulations.
• Lead and document accident/incident investigations to determine root cause, prevention and corrective measures.
• Attend, coordinate, and conduct safety orientation and training programs.
• Participate in and contribute to project planning and hazard analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years in a safety function in manufacturing or construction.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, UBC, ISO, ANSI, RIA, NFPA, GB, codes.
• CHST, CMSE, and or CSP preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Direct experience building and implementing safety procedures in a rapidly changing environment.
• Experience in working with numerous city, county, state, and federal permitting authorities.
