Senior Project Manager - Battery Cell Innovation

Your role and your team: 

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced senior project manager to drive our Battery Cells innovation and industrialisation projects for Lilium’s revolutionary electric aircraft.

In this role you will be a part of the Program team within Operations, which is responsible for the delivery of our aircraft programs. You will report directly to the VP Program Management and in conjunction with Cells Integrated Project Team Lead will project manage the multi-functional Cells Project Team, which includes Cells experts, design and test engineers, manufacturing engineers and supply chain partners.   Your responsibilities will include project delivery in line with program objectives for time, cost and quality, robust planning, team and supplier coordination, resolution of issues, management of risks and opportunities and clear communication of project status.

 Your day to day:

• Project Manage the successful delivery of our Battery Cells development and industrialisation projects across the entire development cycle in line with the objectives of our aircraft program
• Develop robust schedules, manage critical paths and effectively manage risks, costs, resource demands and change control
• Succinctly communicate project needs, actions, priorities and project status to the project team and key stakeholders
• Define KPIs and track progress, identifying and implementing improvement measures as needed
• Identify and efficiently resolve issues as they arise to enable project delivery
• Contribute to the creation of world-class Program Management function through implementing best practice project management processes, methods and tools and ensuring a consistent approach to project management across all projects

 Your Profile: 

• Engineering, and/or business administration degree with an excellent academic track record. MBA, Masters’ in Project Management, or equivalent is a plus
• Min of 5 years’ experience in project management positions with experience battery cell development and/or aerospace development
• Excellent understanding of techniques for scheduling, risk management, estimation, project communications and budget and resource management
• IPMA Level C and/or Certified Scrum Master or equivalent
• Exceptional analytical skills with a drive to challenge the status quo
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills
• Ability to probe and challenge assumptions
• Excellent communicator in English, German is a plus
