Role Description
Form Energy’s Software Product Management & Design team collaborates closely with Software Engineering to build innovative apps and tools that touch every part of Form’s product experience and company operations. As a product manager, you’ll own a suite of software products and tools that enable the technology development of Form’s grid-scale battery storage system. Early projects may include extending our homegrown test lab software to support high priority R&D initiatives, designing the first generation of advanced manufacturing tools, and defining success metrics for our core data pipeline. This is a unique opportunity to be a pivotal player on a growing team making a direct impact on climate change.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage product requirements and roadmap for our technology development software applications, including both homegrown and off the shelf solutions
  • Identify, and deliver on, opportunities for software and data to accelerate discovery and scale up operations at our battery R&D, test, and manufacturing facilities
  • Ensure effective feature prioritization and sprint processes for multiple distributed software teams
  • Influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, from R&D to hardware to systems engineering
  • Multiply your impact by fostering creative product thinking and sound product judgment across the team and leading by example
  • What You'll Bring:

  • Technical product management experience including in-depth assignments within software engineering, data engineering, UX/UI design, or data science
  • Empathy for users and a curiosity to deeply understand their needs and varying perspectives/experienceStrong stakeholder management and engagement instincts
  • Track record of managing one or several products, leading to hard-won wisdom about how to balance your attention across day-to-day tactics and long-term strategy
  • An entrepreneurial approach to decision-making and prioritization that blends evidence-based rigor with the pragmatism to move forward based on incomplete information
  • Strong resonance with Form’s value of “clear-eyed optimism”, and a knack for surfacing risks and opportunities when collaborating with people in a wide range of job roles
  • Familiarity with research & development workflows, hardware product development, industrial grade technology/systems, and manufacturing a strong plus but not required
  • Background in renewables and energy storage or a strong desire to learn
