Who You Are
Sila Nanotechnologies is looking for an expert and strategic technical program manager with deep experience leading sophisticated multi-level and multi-year programs. You will be responsible as the overall lead for our next-generation manufacturing technology program. You have deep experience establishing relationships and collaborating across groups with varied areas of expertise. You work multi-functionally with Sila’s teams in Process & Equipment Development, Capital Projects, Materials Development, Battery Engineering, Product Management, Research, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Finance. You will ensure tight coordination and alignment while implementing plans to meet project objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the overall macro-level plan for Sila’s next-gen manufacturing technology, ensuring alignment of the overall business strategy with the company's critical program
- Clearly translate business requirements into plans, with assumptions, scope, and results
- Understand key interdependencies and risks that ripple through the program and proactively adjust plans with the cross-functional teams to swiftly integrate mitigations
- Drive progress by ensuring appropriate organizations, resources, priorities, trade-offs, and key decisions are made at the right time by the right decision-makers
- Crisply and clearly communicate program status to executives, partners, and across teams
- Refine program management tools and processes, with a focus on purpose and value
- Drive decision-making through technology development governance processes and ensure the quality of results
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships and promote an encouraging program team environment
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering or physical sciences
- 15+ years of proven experience, preferably in manufacturing or the battery industry, 8+ years as a program manager for hardware development
- Track record of successfully delivering manufacturing technology solutions
- Experienced in effectively using a variety of gantt, collaboration, and communication tools
- Experience establishing governance processes and decision-making frameworks for managing program life cycle, including deep knowledge of stage-gate methodology
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate and communicate sophisticated information clearly to varied audiences
- Experience bringing together collaborator needs and expectations, gaining and maintaining collaborator support, and closing gaps in differences to drive alignment
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive with creative and critical thinking
- Adept at collaborating with both technical and business groups
- Excellent leadership, analytical thinking skills, organizational skills, and high attention to detail

The starting base pay for this role is between $162,500 and $219,500 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
