About the role
You will prepare accurate schedules for proposals and projects using your estimating experience in project execution and delivery. Your robust understanding of construction, construction management and EPC LS commercial types will be invaluable, and you will also utilize knowledge of construction means and methods as well as engineering and industry principles. You will collaborate directly with the project delivery executive teams and business development professionals.

What you will do

  • Develop detailed schedules and work plans for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction as well as Commissioning & Startup as needed.
  • Determine and update progress and resource curves.
  • Facilitate multiple departments on milestone date development.
  • Provide technical direction on projects, formulating, developing, and utilizing advanced scheduling and planning concepts.
  • Facilitate interactive planning session to help and develop the overall schedule and plan.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze critical path plans and related schedules.
  • Monitor job progress in relation to schedules.
  • Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction earned value measurement during different phases of projects.
  • Coordinate with supply chain concerning critical items of supply (long lead items).
  • Coordinate with construction/field management concerning critical resource needs and forecasts.
  • Perform schedule analysis.
  • Perform Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
  • Perform what-if scenarios and provide sound recommendations to improve the schedule.
  • Manage and train direct reports.
  • Perform schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities.
  • Identify schedule-associated cost trends and report them to the executive management.
  • Prepare schedule basis memorandum and detailed staffing utilization by discipline once the schedule is resource-loaded.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
  • Ascertain that the correct scope of work is reflected on all schedules.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or scope of work. Work with the performing organizations to coordinate work sequences with the total project plan. 
  • Determine critical-path activities for assigned discipline and identify significant activities supporting inter discipline requirements. Identify critical path for discipline or work breakdown structure (WBS). 
  • Establish and implement methods for determining activity durations within assigned disciplines or WBS.  
  • Develop quantity Scurves for a specific discipline or scope. Review and evaluate quantity records to ensure total quantities are represented for a particular discipline or scope.
  • Work with the Project Manager to resource load the schedule for assigned disciplines.
  • Assist in determining leveling decisions. Perform quantity and resource loading for assigned schedules.
  • Develop and monitor short term (2-4 week) engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Monitor schedule deviation for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommends corrective action/workaround solutions for project considerations.
  • Identify and report activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and prepare and present the Schedule Impact Report.
  • Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Develop and administer schedules & performance requirements.
  • What a qualified candidate should possess

  • 8+ years of experience in planning and scheduling in an energy storage company (self-performed and/or subcontracted construction) or a renewable industry.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent construction experience.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of energy storage estimating self-performed and/or subcontracted construction scopes of work.
  • Proficiency in P6 is a must.
  • Experience leading and training other schedulers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Experience in public companies is a plus.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
