The Role:
As part of the Global Regulatory and Public Affairs team, you will work on all aspects of regulatory and public affairs/government relations matters for Lilium in Europe and internationally, tackle challenges, leverage opportunities and deliver something that has never been done before.
The company is embarking on an entirely new concept, building an all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet, offering leading capacity, low noise, and high performance with zero operating emissions, and bringing electric Regional Air Mobility into cities and communities.
Thus, the creation of new rules will be required for instance, regarding air operations, pilot licenses, airspace integration and infrastructure to mention a few areas.
You will be creating and implementing Lilium’s regulatory and policy strategy, engaging with regulators, authorities and policymakers in Europe and around the globe and shaping the regulatory and policy landscape for eVTOL jets and electric aviation overall to ensure Lilium’s interests are represented in new laws, policies and regulations.
The role also encompasses monitoring and intelligence gathering of relevant policy and regulatory developments at European, international and national levels, drafting and defending policy papers, representing Lilium in trade associations and other forums, and communicating our needs to elected officials and regulators.
