About the Role:

The Senior Production Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of production within a dynamic design/build manufacturing company. Operating in a bespoke environment where every project is custom-designed to meet unique client specifications, you will ensure the seamless execution of manufacturing processes.

Collaborating closely with department managers and leveraging Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies, you will optimize workflows to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is essential for transforming complex engineering designs into high-quality, integrated modular infrastructure.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Production Oversight: Oversee all aspects of production encompassing metal processing, fabrication, paint, and electrical work.

  • Bespoke Planning: Develop and implement production plans finely attuned to the unique specifications of custom projects while remaining aligned with organizational goals.

  • Operational Excellence: Utilize Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in a custom manufacturing environment.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate seamlessly with Project Managers, Scheduling, Sales, and Engineering teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.

  • Process Development: Partner with upper management to develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and streamline operations.

  • Resource & Facility Management: Effectively manage labor resources and space utilization within the manufacturing facility to optimize production capabilities for custom projects.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to department managers and leads, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  • Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and individual growth.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: Proven experience in production management within a design/build manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Mastery: Profound understanding of custom sheet metal, electrical, and welding manufacturing environments.

  • Methodological Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in applying Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to bespoke production.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001, NEMA, and NEC compliance standards to ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Acumatica), Smartsheet, and Google Workspace.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. All job offers are contingent upon receiving a negative drug/alcohol test.

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $129,000 -$148,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
