ICON is looking for a Senior Manager of MarComm, who will be responsible for leading ICON’s high-impact programs including customer experience and consumer-facing campaigns that drive measurable results. You’ll help lead the inception, creation and execution of all internal and external ICON content and campaigns that help drive business and brand affinity for ICON. The MarComm and Public Affairs teams have a widespread impact on ICON customers, partners, investors and the community as well as the media, creators and enthusiasts. You will be a champion of ICON’s mission and a voice for the company. This role reports to the VP of Communications and Public Affairs and is based at our Austin, TX campus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and execute creative and impactful organization-wide MarComm and content strategies from inception to completion and across all platforms.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of ICON’s past, present and future business in order to articulate to customers and other audiences.
  • Create go-to-market programs and lead in creation and/or editing of internal-facing MarComm materials, as well as public channels such as website, social media posts, blogs, newsletters and project overviews.
  • Project manage and act as point of contact across cross-functional teams (clients/partners, business development, engineering teams, executive management, PR, web, creative, etc).
  • Define, build and optimize key metrics for achieving overall success.
  • Leverage earned media and owned channels to accomplish objectives, understanding target audiences, influencers and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner with PR, events, and brand design teams on film shoots and photoshoots.
  • Commissioning and conducting market research; making strategic recommendations based on outcomes.
  • Oversight of customer relations management, consumer insights and research team.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to deliver high-level marcomm strategy while driving tactical execution.
  • Strong copywriter and proofreader with an eye for crafting powerful messages and stories.
  • A data-driven decision-maker who stays on top of trends and seeks opportunities to demonstrate relevancy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player who is adept at working cross-functionally and facilitating complicated projects through to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to rapidly deliver information and work with numerous stakeholders.
  • Experience with optimizing web communications for SEO and organic and keyword searches.
  • Leading multi-faceted campaigns involving marketing, social, customer acquisition & experience.
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms, MailChimp, Salesforce and the like
  • Solid understanding of all social media platforms and extensive experience building content strategies, campaigns and executing.
  • Experience leading internal team and external agencies through successful campaigns.
  • Innovative, driven and a team player who shows creativity, diplomacy and ability to juggle a heavy volume of diverse projects and tactical assignments.
  • Resourceful self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment while efficiently and effectively managing business priorities.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Professional degree in Marketing, Business or Communications.
  • Passion for marketing and communications industries and best practices.
  • Prior management-level in technology, entertainment or homebuilding industries a plus.
  • Keen eye for design and details a plus.
  • Video and photography production experience in planning, executing and overseeing. shoots from interviews, behind the scenes content, documentary content and more.
