As the Procure-to-Pay Program Senior Manager, reporting to the Finance Department, you will build robust relationships with procurement business partners to understand accounts payable’s needs and streamline Rivian’s procure-to-pay (P2P) process by designing efficient payables mechanisms. Strong functional knowledge will let the program manager analyze payables, accruals and transaction data to identify opportunities and to measure effectiveness. You will be responsible for coordinating with key business partners regarding their business requirements, and other functional documentation. Once a project is completed, you're able to clearly communicate the results and draw the key learnings for senior management.

Use your strong financial background, to manage projects from concept to implementation across many stakeholders. You will understand execution risk and how to mitigate it. You will understand stakeholder management and will manage relationships across large and complex organizations.

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead process and technology improvements for the accounts payable functions, to enhance processes; automate the accuracy and review of transactional flows; help mature processes and systems compliance to exceed company policies and SOX
  • Define and collect business requirements, process documentation, systems diagrams, user stories, and other functional documentation.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, testing, and training across functional departments to drive accountability across end-to-end P2P process.
  • Define financial systems quarterly roadmap for AP, and partner with Procurement (Direct and Indirect) to make sure holistic P2P vision is aligned each quarter.
  • Work with Procurement to manage Coupa invoice automation and represent AP in designing Coupa enhancements to improve workflow, and downstream systems: both VIM and SAP.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to document workflows, identify gaps, propose improvements, and drive consensus to achieve agreed set of requirements.
  • Partner and work closely with solution integrators, corporate IT, and business process owners to plan, implement, and test SAP implementations and future system/process enhancements.  
  • Lead the project execution and status reporting using various project management methodologies (PMI/waterfall, Agile, ASAP)
  • Manage capital spending requests and project budgets
  • Project Management skills are a must (PMP)/Agile using JIRA, Confluence, and Service Now.

THIS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years detailed understanding of Finance business processes including Procure to Pay (P2P)
    • 5+ years’ experience in manager roles overseeing the design, implementation, and support of ERP systems, with specific experience in S/4HANA, VIM OpenText, and Coupa
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, consulting, program management, process design, process improvement, or business process reengineering
  • Proficient with Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI a plus
  • Understanding of finance systems and how they support business processes, including P2P
  • History of successfully implementing/integrating systems
  • Experience building out processes, procedures, and workflows that enable sustainable scaling of the business
  • Ability to effectively work across teams and levels, both within the accounting functions, and across functions, including tax, supply chain, IT and senior leadership
  • Strong communication, influential, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing industry is a plus
