Who You Are

We're looking for a Sr. Learning & Development Program Manager to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team. You will champion Sila’s values as you partner with the EHS, People & Culture, and other teams to design and deliver programs that help Silazens (our Sila Team Members) acquire knowledge and skills to perform their roles.

You take a strategic approach but are prepared to dive in and get things done. As we grow our company, you will work with all functions and levels (from exec to operations) within Sila to adapt our business processes to fit the needs of our diverse and growing employee population. The ideal candidate will understand and champion the strong linkages between EHS, People & Culture, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create and maintain the Sila Learning & Development Management System, with deep ownership in EHS and compliance, and collaborative partnerships across other functions
  • Develop and execute strategies for training and development programs, working with stakeholders to understand and meet the needs of our growing, evolving organization
  • Develop and facilitate the delivery of training content to enhance learning uptake and retention of knowledge
  • Champion the development of a Learning Culture where Silazens will engage in active collaborative improvement efforts to reduce EHS and other business risks and enhance business performance
  • Continuously improve Sila’s Learning & Development Management System to effectively meet business needs for record and content management

Knowledge & Skills

  • 5+ years of Proven experience working in fast-paced, adaptive work environments focused on innovating and improving company performance in EH&S and more broadly.
  • 3+ years of Demonstrated ability working with training, development & program principles including content development, delivery, and information management.
  • Experience facilitating learning teams to help teams and leaders navigate difficult and sometimes emotional, challenges faced in sophisticated EHS and other business situations
  • Proven track record in efficiently engaging a diverse workforce and leaders to achieve workplace culture improvements and operational performance. Appreciation for the linkages between EHS and business outcomes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and partners
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

  • Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes
  • Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
