About This Role

Apeel Sciences are looking to hire a Senior HR Business Partner for our global Talent Management team. Our team is focused on providing ‘best-in-class’ strategic people support to Apeel Sciences’ business leaders. In this role you will support both managers and employees to provide guidance and support through business changes, performance management, headcount & succession planning, crisis management, and other components of the employee lifecycle. You will embrace ambiguity, coach all levels of employees, and build trusting relationships across all Apeel disciplines. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support Apeel People Managers through Performance Management activities including Bi-Annual Talent Review, Annual Performance Cycles, Individual Development Plans, and newly created programs that evolve as we mature as a company
  • Partner with Department and Divisional Leaders to build and implement market based Career Pathing for their disciplines
  • Provide insight, guidance, and feedback on retention strategies, reward & recognition programs, department/divisional reorganizations, and organizational design
  • Support people managers in identifying and developing their top talent, and also building out succession plans
  • Partner with Apeel’s Learning & Development team to build educational content for employees aligned with Apeel’s strategic goals and focus areas
  • Assist with Action Plans and follow up tied to quarterly engagement surveys 
  • Guide employees and managers through employee relations scenarios, escalating to Legal for formal investigation or documentation where necessary
  • Serve as a Values Ambassador for the organization, coaching employees and leaders to operate in a values first mindset
  • Maintain a pulse on organizational health, escalating risks, challenges and trends to leadership where necessary
  • Support Apeel’s Financial Planning & Analysis team and Divisional Leaders with budget management as it pertains to headcount, raises, promotions, and other people related spending
  • Aid in crisis scenarios and further develop Apeel’s Crisis Management & Business Continuity playbook
  • Contribute to the development of best practices within the HRBP function to ensure consistency and scalability

What You’ll Bring

  • 8-10 Years of Experience in the Human Resources field
  • Prior experience working in a high-growth environment, navigating change with positive employee outcomes
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a heavy emphasis on relationship building
  • Ability to influence without authority, providing countering points and insights to diverse audiences
  • Experience managing through gray, complex, and ambiguous situations with a positive attitude 
  • Strong business acumen, possessing a proven track record of connecting high employee engagement to business successes
  • Understanding of people analytics, compensation, total rewards and budgeting
  • In depth understanding of US Federal and State labor laws, experience working in manufacturing or agriculture strongly desired. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources related field, SHRM-CP, or other HR certifications helpful, but not required
