ROLES SUMMARY:

In this role, you will join an agile and dynamic finance team focused on driving vehicle profitability targets for Rivian’s in-production platforms. This role will frequently manage multiple ongoing projects and deep dive large, complex financial datasets to deliver actionable insights and metrics to business owners. The ideal candidate will combine excellent data analysis with clear, concise messaging to drive key decisions impacting Rivian’s profit models and financial forecasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Current Model Finance

  • Collaborate and report on profitability targets for in-production vehicle programs
  • Partner with program and supply chain leadership to set annual vehicle cost targets and identify key cost reduction opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on cost reduction performance metrics to senior leadership on a regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Provide program leadership with multi-year vehicle cost glidepaths to drive business decisions
  • Support Engineering and Systems Finance on Bill of Material accuracy and consolidation
  • Design and implement process improvements regarding monthly Bill of Material actuals reporting and variance analysis
  • Support financial handover of new programs and variants from development to production

Supply Chain Finance

  • Regularly report on commercial negotiation KPIs, acting as the key liaison between supply chain and finance teams
  • Provide meaningful ad-hoc data analysis and presentation support to supply chain leads

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of related business experience with demonstrated high performance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field preferred
  • Ability to influence across multiple functions and organizations
  • Deep willingness to learn and challenge status quo to find effective solutions
  • Excel Power User – able to manipulate data and accurately extract value-added insights.
  • Presentation Savant – proficient in composing and delivering concise, meaningful messages backed by empirical data
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, easily switching between finance and non-finance lenses
  • Experience in SAP highly preferred
  • SQL, Power Query, Tableau, PowerBI, Thinkcell, or Alteryx experience highly preferred
  • Data Expert – able to analyze and present large datasets effectively and accurately
  • MBA or CPA, or experience in strategy, automotive, supply chain, or manufacturing preferred
