About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and problem-solving Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware team. You will be responsible for the electrical design of new and existing autonomous vehicle systems through the entire product lifecycle. You will coordinate with other hardware, software, program management, and business teams to design, implement, and iterate on solutions.

Our interview process is generally conducted in five (5) phases:
1. Phone Screen with People Operations (30 minutes)
2. Video Interview with the Hiring Manager (45 minutes)
3. Panel Interview (Video interviews scheduled with key stakeholders, each interview will be 30 to 45 minutes)
4. Final Interviews (CEO and CFO - 30 minutes each)
What You'll Do
Ownership of the electrical technical specification, design, integration, and release of autonomous agriculture vehicle systems.Design schematics, board layouts, and wire harnesses for various systems such as battery management, power, I/O, lighting, actuators, sensors, and microcontrollersSelect components that are performant, cost-conscious, and available.Develop power, electrical, and thermal budgets and modelsTroubleshoot issues, determine root causes, design and implement corrective and preventative solutionsCreate and execute test plans, analyze data and work with other teams on how to improve tested systems.Work closely with external partners to devise solutions that meet system goals around safety, performance, and cost.Facilitate technical discussions through all program phases with internal and cross-functional stakeholders and drive escalation where necessary.Coordinate with cross-functional vehicle development leads in engineering (ME, SW), supply chain, program management with the goal of driving alignment on program execution details, planning, and readiness.Work with program management to plan development schedules, builds, and resolve supply chain issues.What You'll Bring
BSEE and 6+ years of relevant experience (including MSEE/PhD degrees with professional engineering experience)2+ years of experience in a professional and product driven environmentExperience working in low-volume prototype environments. Able to work on the floor with technicians during build events to identify issues, and rapidly iterate solutions.Strong experience with EE CAD tools such as Eagle, Altium, and/or OrCADStrong experience with lab tools such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and protocol analyzers.Strong experience with soldering, probing, and debuggingExperience designing low-level microcontrollers PCBs and IO circuitryExperience with component selection and procurementExperience with PCBA outsourcing and DFMStartup experience is a major plusStrong communication skillsCuriosity and willingness to learn about new technologyAble to support periodic domestic and international travel.What Makes You a Strong Fit
