Lucid is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer to join the Corporate Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability team. This role will work in collaboration with Engineering, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities, and Contractors, among others, to develop and implement robust construction safety standards throughout the global organization. This role will serve as the organization’s Subject Matter Expert responsible for the review of design and development of new construction and adherence to functional and regulatory standards, internal standards and best practices.

You Will:

  • Interpret applicable construction safety regulations and standards and provide gap analyses.
  • Develop, implement and establish corporate construction safety standards and procedures.
  • Perform risk assessments and job hazard analysis.
  • Provide design input and engage in evaluations.
  • Develop and conduct EHS training, such as accident prevention.
  • Inspect job site for unsafe conditions.
  • Investigate construction-related incidents and ensure appropriate and thorough closure.
  • Drive corrective action resolution with a hands-on and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • You Bring:

  • BS degree in safety, engineering or related field, Master’s Degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience with construction safety responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Construction Safety Standards (i.e. OSHA) along with working knowledge, and demonstrated working experience on and around construction projects.
  • Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and required PPE, to ensure a safe work environment for personnel and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of emergency response procedures related to construction work.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of construction safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and positive attitude; enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
  • Comfortable working with all levels and functions to achieve organizational objectives.
