Senior Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) who will:

The responsibilities and duties of Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) will be as follows:

• Development of hybrid cloud instrumentation, monitoring and analytics services to support our aircraft development and wider growth
• Creating secure and scalable data pipelines from aircraft systems to the cloud
• Architecting solutions for operational data storage and historical data warehousing
• Implement services to integrate our systems with partners in the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem
• Bespoke application development to support internal operations e.g. flight test management, video processing

The successful Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) will have the following Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related STEM discipline
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platform provider capabilities (Azure Developer or DevOps Certification preferred)
• Understanding of modern front-end and back-end web development stacks and best practices
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and frameworks (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
• Proficiency with at least one major front-end web framework (e.g. React, Svelte, Angular, Vue, Blazor)
• Proficiency with at least one backend programming language (e.g. Python, TypeScript, C#, Rust)
• Experience working as part of an agile software team using modern tooling and CI/CD (e.g. JIRA, Git, Azure DevOps)

Desired:

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related STEM discipline
• Proven industry experience in developing, deploying and maintaining scalable and secure cloud solutions in production
• Hands-on experience with cloud native application development (e.g. CNCF ecosystem, Kubernetes, Flux, Helm)
• Familiar with cloud information security fundamentals and best practices
• Familiarity with IP-based networking and distributed messaging architectural patterns (e.g. MQTT, REST & gRPC)
