About the company:
As a Senior Certification Engineer for Structures, you will be responsible for bringing in-depth knowledge and experience to the team to support the certification of VA’s production eVTOL. As part of your role you will act as Panel 3 Lead and will be responsible for cascading the Initial and Continued Airworthiness requirements to the design teams and assist in the interpretation.
You will be working closely with the design teams, Airworthiness Authorities and Industrial Partners to ensure that Certification Requirements are clearly cascaded, and compliance demonstrated. In your role you will be interfacing and leading the structural discussions with the UK CAA and Foreign Validation Authorities.
You will report directly into the Head of Certification and will be a key member of the Airworthiness team to support the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.
We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience with leading certification activities and have held CVE or DAR/DER signatures rights. Additionally, you will need to have deep knowledge of Part 21 requirements & associated Design Organisation Approval (DOA) processes, in-depth knowledge of processes & certifications relevant to Design, Certification & Continuing Airworthiness (CS 23, CS 25, CS 27 or equivalent FAA Part 23, Part 25 and Part 27). Proven experience with AMC 20-29, FAA AC 20-107B and/or CMH-1 and structural/FEM analyses will be highly beneficial also.
