Join the Airworthiness Team based in Bristol as Senior Certification Engineer – Avionic Systems and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.
What success will look like for you, as a Senior Certification Engineer – Avionic Systems?
As a Senior Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for working with Airworthiness Authorities and using your extensive knowledge of certification requirements to work through innovative and challenging designs and support the certification of Vertical Aerospace’s production eVTOL.
You will be working closely with the Design teams, Airworthiness Authorities, and Industrial Partners. You will need great communication and leadership skills to ensure that Certification Requirements are clearly cascaded, and compliance demonstrated.
You will report directly into the Head of Certification and be a key member of the Airworthiness team, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.
What would we like you to bring.
We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have held CVE or DAR/DER signature rights, possess up to date experience with EASA / UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation, in-depth knowledge of processes and certification specifications (e.g. SC-VTOL, CS23, CS25, CS27, SC-E-19 or equivalent FAA Part 23/25/27/33). Additionally, deep knowledge and understanding of certification guidelines and deliverables and their associated frameworks would be critical.
It would be beneficial to have experience with novel designs or a wide range of complete aircraft systems and proficiency in an additional spoken language.
