About This Role:
Join our dynamic Business Development team as a Senior Business Development Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in expanding Crusoe's Digital Flare Mitigation & Renewables footprint both domestically and internationally. You'll be responsible for developing complex financial models, conducting economic evaluations, and creating compelling presentations to support project development. This role offers significant exposure to senior management, providing a pathway for upward mobility into external-facing commercial positions. We're seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in investment banking, private equity, or financial analysis, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sectors, to drive our strategic growth initiatives. This is a full-time, in-office position located in San Francisco.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Financial Modeling: Develop detailed economic models for new Digital Flare Mitigation opportunities and analyze power pricing at potential data center sites.
Data Analytics & Market Research: Utilize internal data analytics tools to identify ideal data center sites and markets, leveraging data on renewable development, gas availability, and land parcel buildability.
Developer & IPP Communication: Communicate directly with developers and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to vet early-stage opportunities.
Due Diligence & Ad Hoc Studies: Aid in site due diligence and conduct ad hoc studies to advance opportunities through the pipeline.
Presentation & Reporting: Create board-level presentations and project approval materials for Crusoe's senior management and Board of Directors.
Pipeline Management: Maintain the Data Center Opportunity pipeline in Crusoe’s CRM, ensuring project statuses are up-to-date and tracking key pipeline metrics.
Market & Regulatory Tracking: Track hyperscaler and co-located data center activities, regulatory updates related to the energy industry, and domestic energy infrastructure investments.
Cross-Functional Support: Support the Business Development team with ad hoc reporting and share information cross-functionally as needed.
Process Improvement: Improve the team’s organizational processes around project management and pipeline activities.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Office Presence: Must be based in San Francisco, CA with the ability to come to the office.
Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Professional Experience: 4+ years of relevant work experience; energy sector experience is a plus.
Financial Expertise: Experience in private equity or investment banking is highly desired.
Energy Market Knowledge: Understanding of Energy Markets, with experience in renewable energy or oil & gas a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills.
Narrative Development: Ability to understand and craft narratives to support business decisions.
Self-Motivation: Self-motivator and able to consistently deliver results under strict time constraints.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $145,000 - $185,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal 1 equity and alignment with market data.
