Join our Battery and Powertrain Team based in Bristol as a Senior Battery Facility Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.

What success will look like for you, as a Senior Battery Facility Engineer?

As a Senior Battery Facility Engineer at our Vertical Energyu Centre in Avonmouth, you will be responsible for supporting the development across the site which will include fit-out work, equipment installation, supplier coordination and system commissioning. You'll be the main on-site contact for all facility and equipment related matters, establish and controling a safe working environment for personnel, including the production of processes and controls. We'll need you to ensure all equipment is calibrated and safe, and lead preventative maintenance and corrective actions on the facility, equipment and software systems. If any upgrades or changes are needed, you'll produce business cases and plans for facility upgrade work, including the provision of new test capability and infrastructure.

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will possess a degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or technical discipline and have hands-on experience of manufacturing or test operations. You'll need knowledge of the health and safety challenges around electrical hazards, or preferably, battery manufacturing and battery testing. Strong technical knwoledge is needed in order to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment, as well as experience of operating, maintaining and calibrating battery test equipment and associated systems. Ideally you will have gained this experience from either Aerospace or Automotive sectors.
