YOUR IMPACT

You will own and scale Proxima Fusion’s accounting function, ensuring fast, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in a high-growth environment. With strong IFRS and HGB expertise, you’ll drive reliable month-end closings, tax readiness, and audit execution—providing the financial foundation our team needs to make confident decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Take full ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring high quality and on-time delivery.

• Prepare and review individual and consolidated financial statements under IFRS and HGB.

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.

• Lead and resolve complex accounting topics; act as the internal expert for IFRS and HGB and intragroup questions.

• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate closely with founders, finance leadership, and controlling to connect accounting outputs to broader financial planning and decision-making.

• Serve as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, and external service providers; coordinate audit and tax processes end-to-end.

• Provide clear, reliable financial insights to support decision-making in a startup context.

• Operate day-to-day using DUO and DATEV REWE, ensuring clean processes and data consistency.

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth environment.

• Proven hands-on experience preparing IFRS and HGB financial statements (individual and ideally consolidated)

• Strong knowledge of German accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.

• Practical experience with DUO and DATEV REWE (must-have)

• Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership and working hands-on while improving processes as you go.

• Experience working with a team and collaborating across functions.

• Detail-oriented, dependable under deadlines, and pragmatic in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
