About the Position:
Location: Alpharetta GA (hybrid)
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert regarding SCADA and all related and relevant systems and processes.
• Keep current with all Company products, developments, and projects as they apply to the SCADA network at both site and enterprise levels.
• Maintain strict management of change control procedures and documentation.
• Remain current on industry best practices and updated technology to ensure the company is provided world-class SCADA services.
• Support company strategy and provide relevant reporting and updates to Company leadership as needed.
• Develop and recommend performance management and feedback to current SCADA technical support KPI’s.
• Develop and maintain as needed required interfaces, device configurations and communications, data points, and SCADA Alarms notifications.
• Develop and maintain documentation of existing SCADA infrastructure including hardware, applications, protocols, communication links and system backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor SCADA system performance, work with internal and 3rd party groups to troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with failures to maintain maximum system runtime.

Preferred Experience:
Four-year Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, information technology, computer science or other related field.Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated and relevant SCADA experience with a power utility or related industry. Intermediate-to-Expert knowledge of industrial-grade supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA, DCS, DAS) is required.Experience leading and managing teams of other engineers or technicians in the electric power industry, or similar field is desirable. Knowledge and experience with SCADA protocols such as: IEC60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850 MMS, DNP3 & Modbus. Working knowledge on PLC (Siemens S7 & Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC), soft logic IEC 61131, SEL Relays & Meters, Siemens Relays & Meters & SCADA Gateways & Data Concentrators. Experience with Managed Ethernet Switches, Media Converters (Fiber & Serial). Some knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment including but not limited to inverters, transformers, I/O racks, telecommunications, and controllers is a plus.Willing and able to travel to field locations located domestically and internationally. Must be willing to accept work assignments that may require overnight travel from home, including weekends and holidays. Travel commitment for this position is expected to be between 10-20%.Effective in a collaborative yet informally structured work environment. Desire to take responsibility and initiative. Proven capability in managing contractors and working in a matrix organization on fast moving projects.
