About the Role

For the Sales Strategy Manager role we are looking for someone who likes to roll up their sleeves, dive into the data, and develop targeted customer presentations.  You will work with both the Food Service and Retail teams  in analyzing the business and understanding trends that are impacting our business.  You will be an integral part of the team as we address the effectiveness of our strategies and iterate quickly to help our sales team be most effective.

You will: 

  • Responsible for analyzing data for assigned customers and markets, identifying and reporting  on meaningful insights resulting in actionable recommendations.
  • Support the sales team in the development of new business presentations and quarterly business reviews for major customers. 
  • Analyze data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends and devise strategies to increase trade marketing effectiveness while continually looking for growth opportunities.
  • Support the ongoing development of the  selling story for Square Roots by identifying  positioning and key messages that will help the sales team in acquiring new business. You will be able to work collaboratively with our sales and creative team to develop an effective template for selling.
  • Responsible for managing customer portals, including new item setup, pricing maintenance, score-carding, and any applicable analytics available through the portal.
  • Assist Director of Strategy and Planning in the forecasting process, providing insight on assigned customer trends, promotions and variables that may impact demand.

You have experience with:

  • Utilizing syndicated and custom research as well as internal shipment data. You will be experienced in developing concise, actionable weekly update for both customer and internal management.
  • Translating organizational strategies into impactful customer recommendations, and developing concise selling stories that align Square Roots and customer goals.
  • Working cross-functionally with sales to identify tools needed, and then working internally with the marketing and creative teams to develop those tools.
  • Experience working with major customer portals in support of sales tasks.
  • Forecasting processes, able to identify drivers of past performance and quantifiable inputs into future expected demand.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy:

New employees are required to be fully vaccinated prior to their start date. The definition of fully vaccinated includes a booster for those that are eligible.

You are considered fully vaccinated if: 

  • You have received a full series of the vaccine recently (meaning 2 doses within 5 months for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or 1 dose within 2 months for Johnson and Johnson). 
  • You received your full series over 5 months ago for Pfizer and Moderna or over 2 months ago for Johnson and Johnson, and have also received a booster shot. 

Proof of vaccination is required during the hiring process, and employees will be required to get booster shots as they become eligible to maintain their fully-vaccinated status.  

As federal guidance on booster shots evolves, the definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ may change.  

In accordance with EEOC guidance, if you are not vaccinated or do not intend to be due to medical reasons or deeply held religious beliefs, you may make an accommodation request and Square Roots will make a reasonable effort to accommodate you, subject to the requirements of the role you are applying for. 

Failure to be fully vaccinated by start date without a documented accommodation will result in offer rescindment or termination.
