About the company:

At SPAN, we believe that powering homes with clean energy should be a simple and delightful experience that is technology-forward and human-centered.

SPAN is advancing clean energy adoption with innovative hardware that replaces the electrical panel and becomes the home's center for connected power. It’s easier and faster to install, and it completely transforms the customer experience with intuitive energy controls and customizable backup power.

SPAN develops products that accelerate the rapid adoption of renewable energy in the home. The flagship SPAN Smart Panel is the first true evolution for the traditional home electric panel, harnessing enhanced technology for metering, monitoring, and control. An expanded product suite of intelligent, integrated solutions radically lowers the cost and complexity of energy upgrades–including solar, batteries and EVs–empowering homeowners to be active, resilient and informed players in the energy market.

We are looking for a Sales Operations Specialist to support our growing channel sales teams. In this role you will work closely with sales by providing administrative support in reaching in-period KPIs and refining sales processes to meet SPAN’s rapid scale-up in demand. You are a resourceful, detail-oriented and collaborative team player who can swiftly support SPAN’s core sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Become a key contributor to SPAN’s sales and business development teams, with a focus on process, operations, data integrity and on-going CRM enhancements
  • Manage SPAN’s day-to-day processes such as lead assignment, updating prospect data and order management
  • Enforce CRM data integrity in collaboration with Sales Analytics with regard for KPIs related to SPAN’s sales and partner activities
  • Help update CRM data and processes, driving sales process efficiency and automation over time
  • Support ad-hoc reporting initiatives to provide visibility into inbound lead metrics and qualification processes
  • Maintain documentation of sales processes and resources
  • Provide consistent support to sales and sales leadership teams to drive sales throughput
  • Partner with the Finance and Operations teams to ensure customer invoicing is completed in a timely and efficient manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in business operations, sales operations, or growth support functions; entry-level candidates should have relevant internship experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Office or Google Suite, specifically with Excel or Sheets
  • Strong experience using CRMs - a Salesforce ninja
  • Organized and self-directed with flexibility to work cross-functionally and prioritize efforts that will have the greatest impact for the company
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to be clear and concise when implementing new sales processes
  • Experience at companies with B2B and direct-to-consumer sales
  • Must be a detail and process-oriented problem solver who can iterate quickly to solutions
  • Strong ability to multitask and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in lead data reporting, demand generation and/or marketing campaign metrics
  • Expertise with Salesforce integrated applications, e.g. Zapier, Typeform, Pardot, Zendesk, Docusign, etc.
