About the role

Plenty is looking for an Extern to join our Sales Operations team. The mission of the team is to enable and accelerate profitable growth, and you’ll be critical in scaling up our forecasting and planning capabilities to ensure we can deliver on our customer and company commitments.

As the Sales Operations Extern, you will help advance our Sales Operations infrastructure as we launch our next farm in Compton, Los Angeles. You’ll be closely involved with our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and drive an increased sophistication in our forecasting capabilities. You’ll also support the Sales team as we engage with customers and prepare them for launch, driving critical activities that will enable our commercial success.

This role will require rigorous quantitative analysis along with comfort making prudent assumptions without a lot of data. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious and analytical, enjoys asking the right questions and uncovering data-driven insights, and thinks expansively and creatively to uncover new opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Farm Operations, and Logistics teams to develop and execute the sales forecasting process, delivering a high-quality and accurate forecast. 
  • Maintain the reporting dashboard to summarize forecasts to an executive-level audience
  • Collaborate with Sales team on long-term modeling exercises to help inform Commercial strategy, including farm/sales capacity planning 
  • Partner with the Sales team to launch new accounts in the LA market, including sales materials, account planning, and customer onboarding
  • Serve as an all-around team player that can jump into new opportunities as they arise

What you'll bring to the table

  • A genuine interest and passion for Plenty’s mission
  • Impeccable analytics skills combined with clear written and oral communication skills + outstanding attention to detail
  • 2+ years of related experience in management consulting, analytics, sales operations, or similar
  • Ability to work independently and navigate an ever-changing high growth environment
  • Industry experience within CPG and/or perishables is valued but not required
  • BA/BS degree
