About the company:

At SPAN, we believe that powering homes with clean energy should be a simple and delightful experience that is technology-forward and human-centered.

SPAN is advancing clean energy adoption with innovative hardware that replaces the electrical panel and becomes the home's center for connected power. It’s easier and faster to install, and it completely transforms the customer experience with intuitive energy controls and customizable backup power.

At SPAN, we are building products that enable the rapid adoption of renewable energy like home solar, batteries, and electric vehicles. The SPAN Smart Panel replaces the standard electrical panel to become the center for connected power in the home, providing revolutionary insights and home energy controls through the SPAN mobile app.

Given our strong commercial traction we are rapidly scaling our sales team, and are looking for a Sales Analytics Manager to bring real-time insights into the operation of our business, and help us as we make data-driven decisions. As an early member of our Sales Operations team, you will shape SPAN's growth as we enable clean energy adoption across the country, providing insights and recommendations to our sales leadership team, CRO, and CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own sales reporting for SPAN, including dashboards and analysis used on a daily and weekly basis to inform sales leadership and sales representatives on sales outcomes and activities

  • Create ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to inform key strategic decisions across the business, including finance, sales, and operations

  • Run SPAN's forecasting process, delivering accurate sales forecasts in partnership with leaders of each of our sales channels

  • Fully own SPAN's data collection, processing, and reporting, ensuring accuracy of data used to make critical decisions

  • Create reports for inbound lead metrics and inbound lead qualification processes

  • Collect, input, and monitor data related to SPAN's sales and partner activities

  • Conduct market research and gather data to help inform sales strategy, prospecting and marketing activities

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in sales operations, marketing operations, business analysis, or operations in an analytically focused role

  • Experience at companies with B2B2C and direct-to-consumer sales

  • Experience in sales operations and CRMs including Salesforce

  • 1+ years of experience using Salesforce CRM analytics, as well as Excel / Google Sheets or a more advanced analytics engine

  • Excellent data literacy, able to quickly pinpoint the correct measurement methodology (e.g. in-period vs cohort) and run analysis with little or no oversight

  • Strong written, in-person, and data communications skills, able to get to the “meaning behind the data”, summarize concisely, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business

  • Organized and self-directed with flexibility to work across project types and prioritize efforts that will have the greatest impact for the company

  • Driven, positive attitude, and get-it-done mentality

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience at hardware and software companies

  • Experience at a startup or high-growth company

  • Comfort with analytics tools such as SQL, SOQL and Python

  • Experience building databases and implementing and setting up reporting in BI tools
