About the Role:
Real Estate Analyst Intern
Crusoe is seeking highly motivated, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented individuals to join our DIG/Real Estate team as an intern. This isn't just a "shadowing" opportunity; you will be an integral part of the Real Estate team, contributing to the financial architecture of our global infrastructure footprint.
The ideal candidate possesses a "roll-up-your-sleeves" work ethic and thrives in a collaborative environment where technical skill meets creative problem-solving.
As a Real Estate Analyst Intern, you will touch every stage of the real estate investment lifecycle:
Financial Engineering: Build and stress-test Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models to analyze returns for potential acquisitions.
Development Modeling: Create and refine proforma models for both build-to-suit and speculative development projects.
Market Intelligence: Curate and manage our Sales Comparison Database, tracking regional trends and property values to inform our entry into new markets.
Asset Management: Maintain "Base Case" proforma models for our existing land bank, ensuring our long-term portfolio strategy remains data-driven.
Collaboration: Provide cross-departmental support, working with teams company wide to synthesize insights and support high-stakes investment decisions.
We hire for character and train for skill, but we expect a high baseline of excellence and a hunger to learn.
Education & Experience:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (rising sophomore through senior), preferably majoring in Economics or Business, though other fields of study are welcome.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically advanced Excel for modeling) and Google Suite.
Technical Edge: Familiarity with industry tools like Argus.
The "Crusoe" Fit:
Intellectually Curious: You don't just find the "what," you hunt for the "why."
Team Player: You have a supportive approach and believe that the best results come from collaborative thinking.
Extreme Detail-Orientation: You understand that in investment modeling, a single misplaced decimal can change a narrative.
Professional Integrity: You handle sensitive financial data with the highest level of professionalism.
