Role Description
The R&D Engineering team acts as an interdisciplinary internal consulting group serving the hardware needs of Form’s battery development teams. We work closely with subject matter experts to deliver solutions that help us better understand Form’s battery technology. We need your help to design and build creative solutions to Form’s most pressing challenges. This is a great opportunity to solve a wide array of technical problems with a large cross section of the Form Energy team. We are looking for a co-op to join the team for the second half of 2022.

Design, build, and test new prototypes across teams to improve our technology Define mechanical requirements from electrochemical testing needsIntegrate auxiliary equipment into test stands to support cell functionPerform hands-on prototyping of your designs using rapid prototyping methodsProduce engineering documents such as SOPs, technical drawings, and supporting design justificationDevelop processes and specify equipment for lab-scale test vehicle productionWork with R&D Engineering team members on various projects based on your skills/interests and Form’s top prioritiesPromote safety, especially in the development of new laboratory processes or experimentsWhat You'll Bring:
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical EngineeringSome previous mechanical design experience (through industrial internship or academic positions)Experienced in computer-aided design (CAD) across multiple software packagesPrototyping or other relevant hands-on experienceBattery experience not required
